Pool Equipment Repairs & Installation

Diagnosis, repairs, maintenance, replacement and installation for the equipment that keeps your pool circulating, filtering and sanitised.

EQUIPMENT HELP

Start with what your pool is—or isn’t—doing

You don’t need to know which component is causing the problem. Tell us about the noise, leak, error message, poor water flow, unreliable chlorination or change in performance you’ve noticed.

Cassaro assesses how the equipment is operating as part of the complete pool system. Water condition, circulation, filtration and sanitisation affect one another, so the apparent fault may not always be the underlying cause.

The equipment make and model, approximate age and a few clear photographs can help us understand the likely next step before attending.

HOW WE CAN HELP

Support across your pool equipment system

Pumps & Circulation

Help with noisy, leaking, non-starting or underperforming pumps, poor circulation and loss of pressure. We can assess repair and replacement options, equipment sizing and installation requirements.

Filters & Filtration

Inspection, maintenance, repair and replacement support for pool filtration systems, including pressure, flow, filter condition, valves, cartridges and filter media where applicable.

Chlorinators & Water Treatment

Assessment of low output, error messages, salt-cell concerns and unreliable sanitisation, together with suitable repair, replacement and installation options.

Robotic Pool Cleaners

Cleaner selection based on pool shape, surface and debris, together with fault assessment, replacement parts, product setup and the appropriate service or warranty pathway.

Available repairs, parts and warranty pathways depend on the equipment brand, model, age and condition. We’ll explain what support is available after reviewing your equipment.

CLEAR EQUIPMENT PRICING

Assessment and installation costs

The cost of getting started depends on whether you already know what needs replacing or need us to identify the cause of a problem.

Replacement assessment & quote

No charge

If you already know which equipment you want replaced, we can visit the property, assess the existing setup and prepare a replacement quote at no charge.

This allows us to confirm equipment suitability, installation requirements, existing pipework and any additional work before providing the quote.

Equipment diagnostic visit

$85 including GST

If the cause of the problem is unknown, the diagnostic fee covers attendance, assessment of the equipment and pool system, minor operating or setup adjustments where possible, and our recommended next step.

Parts, repairs and additional labour are charged separately with approval.

A replacement assessment is for customers seeking a quote for known equipment replacement. A diagnostic visit is required when Cassaro needs to investigate what is causing a fault or performance problem.

Standard installation labour

Standard equipment workLabour price
Pump installation$155 including GST
Chlorinator installation and setup$175 including GST
Cartridge-filter installation$175 including GST
Sand/media filter replacement or media change$310 including GST

Equipment and replacement filter media are charged separately.

Sand and media-filter replacement carries the same labour rate as a media change because removing and handling the existing filter media accounts for most of the work.

Standard pricing assumes reasonable access and a straightforward existing installation. If additional pipework, electrical work, difficult access, seized components, unusual media removal or additional labour is required, we’ll explain the extra work and obtain approval before proceeding.

WHY CASSARO

Equipment support that considers the whole pool

The complete system

Water chemistry, circulation, filtration and sanitisation are connected. We assess how the equipment is performing as part of the pool—not only the individual unit.

Repair, supply and installation

Cassaro can help take the job from the initial problem through to the appropriate repair, replacement or completed installation.

Equipment selected around your pool

Recommendations consider the pool’s size, use, surrounding environment, existing system and the job the equipment needs to perform.

Local support after the work

Our Sorrento shop gives customers a local team to contact for questions, servicing and the appropriate product-support pathway.

Cassaro is an independent, family-owned Gold Coast pool care business, with local pool-care history dating to 1985.

FROM FAULT TO FINISHED INSTALLATION

A clear process from diagnosis to handover

01

Tell us what is happening

Send us the equipment type, make and model, any error message, a description of the symptoms and clear photographs where possible.

02

We assess the system

We inspect the equipment, its operating condition and how it works with the rest of the pool system.

03

We explain the options

We recommend repair, maintenance, replacement or further investigation based on what we find.

04

You approve the work

We explain the proposed work and relevant charges before completing quoted repairs, replacement or installation.

05

We complete and check the job

Repairs and installations are tested, commissioned and documented, with the controls and ongoing care explained where appropriate.

REPAIR OR REPLACE?

A recommendation based on the equipment—not the sale

A fault does not automatically mean the complete unit needs replacing. Where a practical repair is available, we’ll explain it. Where replacement offers the better long-term result, we’ll explain why.

Sometimes repair is not practical, economical or likely to provide a reliable result. Our role is to make the reasoning and available next step clear.

Our recommendation may consider:

  • The cause of the fault
  • The equipment’s age and condition
  • Parts availability
  • Repair cost compared with replacement
  • Likely remaining service life
  • Operating performance and energy use
  • Compatibility with the existing pool system
  • Manufacturer support and warranty

Where repairs are completed

Minor mechanical repairs, such as seals, O-rings and some valve or multiport components, may be completed onsite where the required parts are available.

Pumps, chlorinators and other equipment requiring electrical repair are generally removed and referred to our specialist repair partner. We’ll explain the repair process and obtain approval before the equipment is sent for specialist assessment or repair.

If the required part is not carried in the service vehicle, a return visit may be needed after the part has been collected from our Sorrento shop or ordered from the supplier.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION

The right equipment still needs to be installed properly

Selecting the product is only part of the job. New equipment needs to suit the pool, work with the existing system and be correctly configured before it is handed over.

  • Confirming suitability for the pool and existing equipment
  • Confirming installation and pipework requirements
  • Disconnection and removal of the equipment being replaced, where included in the quote
  • Positioning and connection of new equipment
  • Initial setup and programming
  • Leak and operating checks
  • Commissioning with the complete pool system
  • Explanation of controls and routine maintenance
  • Recording model and installation details
  • Warranty information and next steps

Where regulated electrical or specialist trade work is required, it must be completed or coordinated by an appropriately licensed tradesperson.

A standard installation price covers the agreed installation work. If site conditions require additional pipework, access arrangements, electrical work or labour, we’ll explain the additional scope and obtain the owner’s approval before proceeding.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

Equipment doesn’t need to fail before it receives attention

Changes in noise, pressure, flow, chlorine production or water condition can indicate that equipment needs maintenance before it stops working altogether.

Depending on the equipment, maintenance may include:

  • Pump and equipment inspections
  • Filter and filtration maintenance
  • Cartridge cleaning and filter-media maintenance
  • Salt-cell inspection and cleaning
  • Seal, O-ring and valve maintenance
  • Pressure and circulation checks
  • Cleaner inspection and maintenance
  • Identification of leaks, noise or declining performance

Maintenance requirements vary by equipment type, manufacturer and operating conditions. We’ll explain what is appropriate for your system.

AFTER-SALES SUPPORT

A local team to contact after the installation

New equipment is supported by the applicable manufacturer warranty and its terms. Cassaro records the equipment supplied and work completed so there is a clear starting point if assistance is needed later.

If a problem arises, contact our Sorrento team. We’ll help determine whether the next step is operating advice, servicing, further assessment or the applicable manufacturer warranty process.

A manufacturer warranty generally covers the approved replacement equipment or component. Removal of the faulty equipment and installation of the warranty replacement are separate services, and Cassaro’s applicable installation charges still apply unless the manufacturer has specifically agreed to cover them.

Warranty coverage varies by product and circumstances and does not cover every fault, operating condition or maintenance issue.

Pool equipment questions

What information should I send with my enquiry?

The equipment type, make and model, approximate age, any error message and a description of what has changed are helpful. Clear photographs of the equipment and the complete equipment area can also help us understand the likely next step.

Is there a charge for an equipment assessment?

If you already know which equipment you want replaced, Cassaro can inspect the existing setup and prepare a replacement quote at no charge.

If the cause of the problem is unknown and diagnostic work is required, an equipment diagnostic visit costs $85 including GST. Parts, repairs and additional labour are charged separately with approval.

Will I receive a quote before work begins?

Yes. Replacement equipment and standard installation work will be quoted before proceeding. If further faults, additional pipework, electrical work or extra labour are identified, we’ll explain the additional scope and obtain approval before completing that work.

Can minor repairs be completed during the diagnostic visit?

Minor operating adjustments and some mechanical repairs may be completed onsite where possible and where the required parts are available. If parts need to be collected or ordered, a return visit may be required.

Equipment requiring electrical repair is generally referred to our specialist repair partner.

Do you remove the old equipment?

Removal can be included where agreed as part of the installation scope. Disposal requirements should be confirmed in the quote, particularly for sand or media filters containing old filter media.

Who completes electrical work?

Any regulated electrical work must be completed by an appropriately licensed tradesperson. We’ll explain what is required as part of the proposed installation.

What warranty applies to new equipment?

New equipment is covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty and its terms. Cassaro will provide the relevant warranty information and help identify the appropriate support pathway if a problem arises.

A warranty replacement does not ordinarily cover Cassaro’s labour to remove the faulty equipment and install the replacement. Standard installation charges still apply unless the manufacturer has agreed to cover those costs.

Do I need to be home?

Not always. We require safe access to the pool and equipment, any necessary operating information and secured pets. For new installations, we may arrange a suitable way to explain the equipment and its controls.
